Josianne Cutajar is a Member of the European Parliament for the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D) since 2019. In the European Parliament, she represents the Partit Laburista from Malta. She is a member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy and part of the special COVID-19 Committee. Besides that, she is a substitute member of the Committee on Transport and Tourism and the Committee on Regional Development. She is also active in other tourism and travel task forces and working groups within the Parliament. Until 2019, Cutajar worked as a lawyer within the Office of the Prime Minister of Malta. Cutajar attended the University of Malta, where she obtained a Doctor of Laws degree in 2013, and a Master of Laws in European and Comparative Law in 2017.
